Virtuosis AI was founded by Lara Gervaise and Edoardo Giudice as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). The company emerged from Lara's research, which was a cross-disciplinary collaboration between machine learning engineers and behavioral psychologists and psychatrists, focused on using artificial intelligence to provide feedback on well-being and communication. Further developments in speech processing and AI expanded the project to address broader health conditions.
One of Virtuosis AI’s significant milestones has been its collaboration with Microsoft. After a successful integration into Microsoft Teams, Virtuosis AI was recognized as the Startup of the Year by Microsoft in 2023 for the value brought to enterprise customers.

Dr Philippe Douste-Blazy (MD) is a cardiologist, Professor of Medicine in Public Health and Prevention at CHU Toulouse and Visiting Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Amongst its various public appointments, he has served as Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and French Minister of Health.
Co-founder of Nexthink, a leader in digital employee experience management software, and one of the rare Swiss unicorns, Vincent is passionate about outdoor adventures and a former Elite cyclist.
